SMITH WIGGLESWORTHBorn in 1859, he began to work in the fields at 6 years of age in England from morning till night because of the poverty of his family. At 7 years of age he began to work in a woolen mill with his brother and father. He arose at 5 AM and walked two miles to get to work by 6 AM. He worked 12 hours daily.
He always had a longing to know God. He remembered kneeling in a field, asking God to help him. He remembered walking to work in a lightening storm, praying for protection. God answered.
